[ 学校简介]
林肯大学是新西兰最古老的高等学府之一，前身是一所农业学校，始建于1878年。1896年获得授予学位的权力，同年更名为坎特伯雷农业学院，后成为新西兰大学的一所分院。1961年新西兰大学解散，该学院就成为今天的林肯大学—坎特伯雷大学的分院。1990年作为新西兰高等教育改革的主要部分，林肯大学被授予自主办学权。

[ 专业设置 ]
林肯大学为广大学生提供了从证书、文凭到学士学位、硕士学位等不同层次、循序渐进的专业课程，其中包括：农业科学、园艺科学、工商管理、自然资源工程、食品科学、旅游学、应用计算机、社会科学、初级产品等课程。另外为满足学生的不同需求，学校在商科中还设定了不同的研究方向，例如农业、酒店管理、林业、食品工业、运输、资产评估及管理等。学校的科系，因为以农业为主，因此学院分类方式较为不同。
理学院专业设置：农业、园艺、农业研究、园艺研究、能源管理、环境科学、一般科学等。
商学院专业设置：经济、会计、金融、管理、资讯管理、旅游、市场营销、森林管理、电脑、园艺农业、房地产管理、科技管理等。

林肯大学一年分两个学期，第一学期每年2月开学，第二学期每年7月开学，大多数课程都可以在第一学期或第二学期入学，但入学之前应尽早得到学校的确认为妥。全日制和半日制学生包括许多研究生都可以在第二学期入学。
